Cookie Policy

AdvDesk uses a small number of cookies, all first-party, only for things that make the product work or remember your preferences. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits — for example, that you're logged in, or that you prefer dark mode. Some cookies are essential to running a site; others are used for preferences, analytics, or advertising. AdvDesk only uses essential and preference cookies.

Cookies we use

NamePurposeTypeLifetime
ADVDESK_SESSION Keeps you logged in across page loads. Without this, the dashboard cannot work. Essential Session (cleared when you close the browser, unless "remember me" is selected — then 30 days)
advdesk-theme Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Preference Persistent (1 year)
advdesk-lang Remembers your preferred language (English / Arabic). Preference Persistent (1 year)
advdesk-cookie-consent Records your choice from the cookie banner so we don't show it again. Preference Persistent (1 year)
ref If you arrive via a referral link, this attributes the signup to the referrer for our (planned) referral program. Preference 30 days

All cookies are set with the Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes; the session cookie is additionally HttpOnly.

What we don't use

AdvDesk does not currently use any of the following:

  • Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, or other third-party analytics.
  • Advertising or remarketing cookies (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
  • Cross-site tracking, browser fingerprinting, or device IDs.
  • Social-media share buttons that ping third-party servers on page load.

If we ever add an analytics product, we will update this page, ask for your consent via the banner, and only load the script if you click "Accept all".

How to control cookies

You can control cookies in two places:

  • Our cookie banner. The first time you visit, a small banner appears in the bottom corner. Choosing "Essential only" will skip any future non-essential cookies. You can clear the advdesk-cookie-consent cookie to see the banner again.
  • Your browser settings. Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will break the dashboard — you won't be able to stay logged in.

AdvDesk respects the Do Not Track signal where browsers still send it: we wouldn't track you anyway, but we treat the signal as a polite reminder.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. For material changes (e.g., adding analytics), we'll also surface a notice in the cookie banner so you can re-consent.
